Exclusive Autosport’s Jack Jeffers won each of the last four races of the Yacademy Winter Series in order to secure the title in a comeback victory.

Jeffers entered the final three races at Homestead-Miami Speedway with a six-point gap to VRD Racing’s Sebastian Wheldon. Jeffers won all three races and qualified on pole to take the title by only four points.

He is also experienced in the USF Juniors class having been in the title fight last season. He finished third place to Nicolas Giaffone and Quinn Armstrong after securing three wins during the season. In an interview last month, Jeffers said that he aims to win the title in his second season in the series.

The Yacademy Winter Series was contested between 21 drivers in USF Juniors in what can be best described as preseason before the first round of the championship from April 5-7 at NOLA Motorsports Park.

After Jeffers, second place in the championship went to Sebastian Wheldon, the Andretti-backed driver for VRD Racing who is the son of the late two-time Indianapolis 500 champion Dan Wheldon.

Jeffers’s teammates at Exclusive Autosport Evan Cooley and Joao Vergara also had strong performances at Yacademy and found themselves near the top of the standings. Jay Howard Driver Development’s G3 Argyros also had a good weekend, finishing seventh, second and ninth across the three races.
