Jay Howard Driver Development’s Evagoras Papasavvas secured the top spot at Mid-Ohio during USF2000 qualifying on Friday morning.
Papasavvas’s fastest time during the session was a 1:23.501. He took the pole by just over one tenth.
Papasavvas is third in the USF2000 standings, trailing Max Garcia and Sam Corry, who both qualified outside of the top five.
Papasavvas will be joined on the front row by DEForce Racing’s Quinn Armstrong. JHDD’s Michael Costello qualified in third and he will start on row two alongside Nicolas Giaffone. Thomas Schrage will start fifth.
Papasavvas will start on pole for the first race of the USF2000 weekend at Mid-Ohio, slated for Friday afternoon at 4:45 p.m. local time.
