VRD Racing’s Nikita Johnson qualified on pole at Mid-Ohio during the USF Pro 2000 qualifying on Friday afternoon after snatching pole away from Pabst Racing’s Jace Denmark in the dying seconds of the session.

Johnson’s quickest lap time during the session was a 1:18.505. He took the pole over Denmark by just over one tenth.

Following those two in the top five for race 1 is Pabst teammates Christian Brooks and Simon Sikes on row 2, and Exclusive Autosport’s Braden Eves, who won the Freedom 90 at IRP in May.

Sikes will start on pole for the first race of the USF Pro 2000 weekend at Mid-Ohio, slated for Saturday morning at 8:25 a.m. eastern time.
