Former NASCAR Truck Series driver Hailie Deegan has already ran tests in Indy NXT over the last two weekends with HMD Motorsports, but this weekend, she’ll get in-race action in an open-wheel car for the first time.

To continue her preparation for 2025, she’ll compete in this weekend’s round of the Formula Regional Americas Championship at the Circuit of the Americas.

FR Americas has been a stop in the racing careers of Kyle Kirkwood, Linus Lundqvist and more. Callum Hedge won 2023’s title and had a stellar first year in Indy NXT this year, finishing 4th. Jimmie Johnson also got his first open-wheel experience in during a FR Americas test session before heading to IndyCar.

The FR Americas car is a much lighter car with over 200 less horsepower than the car she’ll race next year in Indy NXT.

Both of Deegan’s races this weekend can be streamed for free at youtube.com/@speedtourtv

Race 1: Friday, Nov. 1 at 1:50pm Eastern/12:50 pm Central/10:50am Pacific

Race 2: Saturday, Nov. 2 at 2:15pm Eastern/1:15pm Central/11:15am Pacific

Qualifying will likely not be streamed but is at 4:25pm Eastern/3:25pm Central/1:25pm Pacific on Nov. 1.
