Championship leader Liam McNeilly will not race this weekend in USF2000 for Jay Howard Driver Development at Indianapolis Motor Speedway due to visa-related complications, it was revealed on the broadcast of USF2000 qualifying this morning.
On this morning’s broadcast of USF2000 qualifying, it was confirmed that McNeilly was not able to enter the country after complications relating to his visa. He currently carries a 51-point lead in the series and has won each of the first five races. No further update has been given regarding McNeilly’s status for future rounds.
Thursday night, USOpenWheelNation independently confirmed and verified McNeilly’s absence from this weekend’s races.
USOpenWheelNation have reached out to Jay Howard Driver Development, Liam McNeilly, and the USF Pro Championships for further comment and none has been given at this time.
