Exclusive Autosport’s Jack Jeffers and VRD Racing’s Teddy Musella traded spots at the top of the leaderboard of the first Indianapolis Motor Speedway test and practice sessions in USF2000 of the weekend, where notably, points leader and winner of the first five races Liam McNeilly did not partake.
USOpenWheelNation reached out to Jay Howard Driver Development for comment on McNeilly’s absence, but had not received a response at time of publication.
Musella was the fastest to cap off the day when he put down a 1:25.0863 in practice. Also running strong were his VRD Racing teammates Christian Cameron and Thomas Schrage, who hung around the top five across the sessions.
Qualifying will take place for the series tomorrow at 7:55 a.m. local time. The first race of the weekend will take place later that day, at 12:10 p.m. local time.
