After a long red flag stoppage, Dennis Hauger took victory at Mid-Ohio this afternoon to become the first driver since 2007 to take five wins in his first eight career starts.

The race was shortened on time due to an on-track collision on lap four between Ricardo Escotto and Seb Murray, two Andretti Cape teammates.

While heading down into turn four, the two collided on a straight, sending Murray flipping forward into the wall just under the starter’s stand. Both drivers got out of the crash okay and the race resumed after a 20-minute stoppage.

Andretti’s Hauger started the race on pole alongside the front row with HMD Motorsports driver Caio Collet, who finished the race in second place.

The two held the pace throughout the race and took the top spots on the podium ahead of Andretti’s Lochie Hughes, who survived an early battle with Josh Pierson (5th) and Salvador de Alba (4th) to take the next spot in the top podium.

ABEL Motorsports landed the next two cars in the finishing order with Callum Hedge (6th) ahead of Jordan Missig (7th). Ohio native and series rookie Evagoras Papasavvas finished in the top ten as well at his home track, finishing ninth.
